Special treatment

Regardless of religious background, most of us believe in the value of treating others the way we wish to be treated. How are the Trump Administration and Congress treating us?

The Trump administration, with the support of Congress, is treating the wealthy very well with tax breaks. They are allowing tax-payer dollars to be spent on private jets, ballrooms, and personal monuments. At the same time -

• They are supporting an unauthorized war costing billions of dollars, resulting in oil shortages and higher prices on gas and all products.

• They are raising tariffs on (former) allies, also raising the cost of all of our goods.

• They are arresting, torturing, and killing not just American citizens, but also our brethren trying to build better lives.

• They are reducing health care benefits and closing hospitals.

• They are reducing food assistance.

• They are reducing public education funding.

• They are reducing programs that aid veterans.

Yet, they are not addressing the looming collapse of Social Security System, which was designed to forever support our current and future elders who’ve worked and paid taxes into this “security” system. While jets, ballrooms, new monuments, and new coins flourish.

Is this how we should be treated by our government? The Iowa delegates (Hinson, Miller-Meeks, Feenstra and Nunn) have voted over and over for this Administration’s measures that further degrade the lives of the poor and enrich the wealthy. Is this the representation you want in Congress? If not, VOTE.
